Do you want to have greater self-confidence and believe in yourself? Find out more about Therapy for Self-Esteem with Dr. Christine.
Your self-esteem is a reflection of your overall sense of value and self-worth. It encompasses how you feel about yourself, your abilities, appearance, emotions, attributes, and behaviors. People with low self-esteem generally have a negative view of themselves and engage in negative self-talk. They are overly critical of themselves and may feel a perpetual sense of failure or lack of accomplishment. They make themselves feel worse by constantly comparing themselves to others and finding themselves lacking. However, since your self-esteem affects so many areas of your life, any improvement in your self-esteem can vastly improve your life, especially in the areas of relationships and career.
